This is a such a valuable tool. The true principles of QDM are legit and proven. Most people think QDM is ONLY shoot mature bucks, and there is so much more to it.

I thought I would do a follow up to this thread for those of you interested. Simply put, the QDM Cooperative Short Course was awesome! The information presented was as good as it gets. Each speaker talked how they helped form their cooperatives; specifically about what worked for them, what didn't work, why they did the things they did and how they would do things differently. They also talked about growing the cooperatives by "keeping the fire burning". Hearing the struggles from the beginnings to their current successes was certainly the highlight of the evenings discussions.

Some of the common themes: (1) Anyone can do this with the correct passion, drive, commitment and education (2) Don't ever let the naysayers discourage you (3) Keep the fire burning (4) Harassment never works, be kind, considerate and understand of your neighbor and their decision. Keep them in the loop on what you and their other neighbors are doing. (5) Cooperatives can be formed very simply and maintained very informally if that is your desire. (6) You certainly don't need all your neighbors to form a successful cooperative.

The QDMA link above is a great place to start if you are either thinking about forming a cooperative or have formed one.
