Until something better can be created or the Yukon forum is CF'd, this can be our play ground. If we keep it quiet and keep invitations to those whose past record will not make this little underground campfire relatively unnoticed, we should be able to share news, editorials, humor and friendship as before.

I thought of doing something like this but many CF regulars also use other parts of Bowsite and I wondered if they would be interested.

I fly solo when doing anything, so no invites will be sent out by me (this way I’m not to blame when Paul rears his ugly head), but I’m looking forward to just having some fun with others who can laugh a little at life. Glad I stumbled upon this.

Someone started another “Community” forum thread (how they missed it) this morning. Went back 10 minutes later and the thread had been completely removed. When guys are asking for something, I’d think they would provide it.

Word has it that Pat will be bringing back a new and improved CF next month (Kyle in private communications with Pat). If this does not pan out, an alternative plan has been established. One way or the other, word will be passed.

Hee hee...using my Buck Rogers secret code ring, read the remnants of that thread. Seems that the CF was rather toxic to a number of Bowsite Purists. Their comments remind me of our proREgressive socialists...what they don't like must be banned. They probably have never heard of or tried to use either an "off" button or tried to change the channel. Idjets.

Years ago on the Stickbow forum, several of us had the Campfire series. It was just a story that we made up as we went along. Folks griped, Pat asked us to keep it to about 100 posts and then start a new one so we did and had a lot of fun making up hunting stories. Eventually some of those that had sticks up their noses cried enough that we were told no more by Phil and all the threads disappeared. It was a lot of fun while it lasted. Never did understand why the precious few that didn't like the threads clicked on them, each one started with "Campfire and then the rest of the title." Pretty easy to avoid unless you're an idiot. At least that is my humble opinion. ;)
