MADISON, Wis. - The Department of Natural Resources reminds hunters that bonus antlerless harvest authorizations (formerly known as tags) will be available for purchase starting Monday, Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. through the Go Wild website and license sales locations. Hunters will need to know the deer management zone, unit, and determine whether they will hunt on public or private land in order to make their purchase.
The first three days of bonus sales are management zone-specific and will be available as follows: Aug. 19, 10 a.m. - Northern and Central Forest (Zone 1);
Aug. 20, 10 a.m.- Central Farmland (Zone 2); Aug. 21, 10 a.m.- Southern Farmland (Zone 2); and
Aug. 22, 10 a.m. - remaining bonus harvest authorizations (all zones).
Bonus antlerless harvest authorizations will be sold at a rate of one per person per day until sold out or until the 2019 deer hunting season ends. The cost is $12 each for Wisconsin residents, $20 each for non-residents and $5 each for youth ages 11 and under.
Thanks for the reminder! My mouth is watering already!
Will their servers crash (again?) this year?
I wish the in person service centers would get a half hour jump on the internet purchases.
Only have 8070 in front of me in line when this opened No thanks feeling optimistic about Vilas that has 500 tags total. We will see how long it takes.
Wow that sucks vilas sold out in 13 minutes and I still have 4000 in line in front of me. None in our group even got into site yet.
This sucks!!
Finally I get in and the site directs me to "ERROR PAGE 404" ...I click back and see my spot in line is held for 20 minutes!!
The site directs me several more time to PAGE 404 ERROR and then kicks me out!!
I then go to WDNR Chat - wait 10 minutes...no one answers!
Garbage!
I had 7400 in front of me but got through and bought mine and the wife’s tags. Didn’t even have to wait when I went back in to enter the wife’s customer ID # to get the wife’s tag.
Like I said in Changes thread. Simplicity needed.
Sounds like I’m the minority, Something actually went smooth for once for me online
System has worked flawlessly for me every year.
Same Skook. Signed in and grabbed a Langlade tag and paid in about 4 minutes...
I was stuck in a meeting and missed. I checked in at 11:30 and my county was gone.
Was 13000 in line but still got my tag. Still haven't had a problem with the system
I just happened to be give a high random entry number over 8000 and be in vilas which only has 500 tags total. They went quicker than my randomly assigned line number.
Got mine in Burnett. System worked flawless for me, even being 6445 in line.
