The long bow was hungry! Two species in 3 days, I’m stoked!
The muley was a total gift. Sitting in my stand hunting for whitetails, and a group of 6 muleys walks by. I just so happen to have a muley doe tag for this unit, but in the many years I’ve hunted this property I have never seen a muley in this field. Even the land owner was surprised. Got both hunts on film as well! I think I’ve been bit with the trad bow bug!
Lots of encounters with this buck finally culminated on 09/22. Thrilled to be able to wrap my tag on him!
Beautiful buck, you may end up being the Montana "Whitey" champ:)
Had a great weekend trip in the rain, snow, and sleet with a great friend! Found, killed, and packed two bulls about 4 miles in less than 24 hours! Sore but what a blast!
My bull in the hole we found him in.
Congrats...that's alot of work.
Congrats to all! Nice trophies. I’m a new poster on Bowsite but am stoked about an unbelievable season that lasted less than a week. Will post some pics
Opening day (evening 9/7) called him in to 18 yds.

BigSkyHntr,
That is a tremendous Montana whitetail. Excellent job all the way around! Congrats!
planebow,,looks like it was all downhill to the truck
I wished, but was at the bottom of a deep coulee. Don't know why it posted upside down.
Yesterday morning spotted her from my stand and then slid down and administered the "sneak attack."
Hunting elk in a blizzard. Riding through a creek bottom, busted this guy out, and up the hill. Put a sneak on him while he ambled up a super steep slope. Never knew what hit him. Pretty sweet bonus!
Four days later I was able to put the sneak attack on this bull while he screamed in my face following a cow over the ridge top.
4 days following that I was able to put my wife on this bull and watch her shoot her first.
Congrats to all of You guys and gals great season so far . Here are a few of ours .
Sorry can’t flip he photo above. It was steep but not that steep. Congrats again to all ! Hunt
Awesome critters folks !!!
HUNT MAN, if you hit the image tools icon on top your pic when logged in, it will allow you to rotate the proper degrees if you scroll down to the the very bottom of the edit window that pops up. Won't necessarily show you it changed it, but if you click on the words not the icon it will do it :)
Cheers, Pete

Nice work gentlemen, and uh ladies. Nothing for me but my cousin Brad from PA took his first big game with a bow...
Blessed to add another one of my other girls to the list. My oldest was able to start the apprentice program this year. Thought about doing the rifle route, but decided it would be more fun to get nice and close and went out and bought her a crossbow. Purchased her tags on 10/28 and a few hours later she has her first deer/buck down on her first time out! Kids these days...... spoiled!
15 yard shot 80 yard recovery
Thanks man. It’s been a strange year on my end with lots of work, less time than normal and two recent deaths to deal with so I’m coming at it for late season. Been stacking some deer and am trying to get my elk tag punched with the rifle.
