Small game bow hunters should have a great season this year in central WI.
I don't know what to mark this up too, but Cottontails seem to be everywhere!
I was sure with the COLD February and heavy snow followed by a very wet spring...with much rain, everything would suffer!
Rabbits everywhere, good hatch of turkey chicks as well. Fawns did pretty good too!
Weird!

I can't vouch for the bunnies, but have noticed a lot of poults running around over past few weeks. -Always good to see!

In our backyard we usually see a lot of rabbits this time of year, throughout the summer. Come winter, they seem to disappear, or most of them. I suppose the local predator population has something to do with that. BC
