The wife and I had some business to attend to in Flagstaff, so took 87 to the Lake Mary turnoff and while passing by Mormon lake I saw them, an I was not the only one, there was a guy with one of those 3 feet long lenses attached to a camera on a tripod pulled over by the side of the road taking pictures. Pointed it out to the wife and she confirmed that yup, those are elk up to their bellies in the lake. Tried to check out their racks, but came up negative.

incredibly two bulls have been arrowed at mormon lake in last week.
wide open park so no easy feat.
