Just moved to IL from KY and am having a really hard time finding somewhere to go. Have always had family land that I could hunt back home and got spoiled. From the looks of things, it's not too easy to find anything good here, but figured I'd give this a shot. I live in Rockford and looking for something within 40 minutes. One hunter, bow and gun. Have hunted my whole life and will respect the land. Looking for at least 40 acres up to 150.

Yeah private land is hard to come by in Illinois but it’s not impossible. Try the OnX app, it may help you. I too can’t help you near the Rockford area.

Look out in Stephenson County West of you. May be expensive but pretty good hunting. Also many State lands available in Northern Illinois, just have to do some legwork. Good luck
