Bluetongue in McKenzie County???????????

I drew an any deer tag and have been looking forward to hunting ND again. I've been hearing of a bluetongue outbreak in McKenzie County and it's taking the wind out of my sails. :^(
I've always associated it with hot/dry conditions and I understand there's been more rain there than in decades past.
1) Is it true?
2) If so, how severe is it?

Yes it is true. Yes-it is wet statewide this year-I can't answer why EHD is hanging around however. It seems that specific county has been hit the worst, but It's not epic proportions. It is going to freeze VERY soon so hopefully it will end soon too. I would put a call into the local warden out there and get his fix on the situation.
