This was two Fridays ago on public land. This first bow kill. Died and guted less than an an hr. Took me 4hrs to get him out of the woods, I was exhausted but worth the effort.

I was tickled to get this buck yesterday morning. I have trailcam pics from Aug 1 til Nov 1 of this deer. He was definitely living right here on my place. Shot him with my Centaur longbow and Battle Axe broadhead at 15 yards. He went 30 yards and died in sight.

Shot this beauty on the 7th . I was seeing a lot of deer movement . Most movement was occurring mid day . Shot him at 11:30 . Good luck all

Shot this buck at 7:15 Saturday (11/9) with a crossbow. He was in the brush 47 yards out. Arrow was lodged inside of him, so very little blood. First buck with a bow for me.

Nice work hancock. 47 yards is a tough shot! Way outside of my comfort zone unless I'm shooting at the block.

Much easier with the xbow from what I hear. Never used one but know guys who hit 3" groups well beyond 50yds.

Longbow , recurve , compound , and crossbow are all legal and all take skill to make a good clean harvest. Let's not be a Zim. We're all hunters on here. Good luck and be careful.

My 15 year old son made a nice shot on this doe at 16 yards last Friday. He has worked hard at practicing all summer & fall for several years now. He has maxed out his bow at 60# & can hunt with that weight!
Now Dad has to buy him a #80 bow next year, so he can keep building those muscles & fine tuning those archery skills....8^)

Lynn congrats to you and your son! Love to see the youth enjoying such a great hobby. No need for the #80 bow... I've killed my last 30 deer only pulling #70 . Hope he gets another crack at one this yr.

A 20 minute sit this morning, a 24 yard shot and a 22 yard recovery. Then a 1/4 mile drag because I left the quad at home.

One heck of a morning J.S. congrats. One of those years for me. Have had over 50 deer in bow range but not a single shooter buck. Filled freezer with does and have had a lot of fun with hunting buddy. Late winter may bring a big 'un.
