Hi all. Hope your season is going well. I am sitting here ever trying to find the best trail camera for my buck. I know everyone is. So I figured I’d start a conversation and let it develop with some insights to what everyone is using and how happy they are with what they are using. Thanks again

Cameras that I am currently running are 3 browning strike forces from the 14’/15’ seasons, 2 Reconyx Hyperfires and 2 Exodus Lift 2’s. I can’t complain with the Browning cams as I realize I am missing some pics and some late triggers. For $125 that’s pretty darn good. However I bought 2 Reconyx hyper fire 2’s in February of this year.. I’m very happy with them but I feel that their night pics could be improved for $400! I just recently checked the Exodus images I have set to video and they are awesome. Day and night. They are $229/pc. I went to these cameras and the Reconyx for the 5 year warranties. I have plenty more to talk about the cameras I run. Just trying for us all to find best cameras for our budgets!

I would personally post in the big game forums to get more input vs the state forum. I've never spent more than $200 on a camera; in fact i now rarely spend more than $100. For me they are tools for gathering information and finding out what bucks are alive and the general area (which could be hundreds of acres) where they spend their time. I think the brownings are great especially for the money; i also own a lot of moultries which have always been solid for me (i still run 3 of the 4 i bought in 2008). I've never used a reconyx or any $200+ camera but i can't imagine i'm missing that much by using the cameras that i use.
