I normally do a lot of archery hunting out there in Nebraska for both turkey and deer but I have an opportunity to go next weekend and partake in a little Muzzleloader hunt. What, if anything, would you guys suggest in regards to hunting methods? I'm not sure what to expect as I've never been to Nebraska in December so kind of looking for some guidance. Is the rut still going on? Should I be focused more on food sources early in the morning and later in the afternoons? Please help, thanks!

Hunt the bedding areas adjacent to food sources mid to early afternoon, for the most part the rut is over with.
