Looking for information on the 4 bow only county’s . I’d like to hunt public land and I’ve seen that some of the coal companies land is open to hunters so what’s the best way to find out exactly what coal company land is open to hunt ? Thanks for any info

Not many people are going to give up their place. The best way is to go to the courthouse of the county(s) you are looking at and look at property maps or use a mapping service like OnX to see who owns land then go look at it to see if it’s posted and/or painted .

If you want to hunt public land check out the Tomblin WMA. 1000's of acres and you might even get to see a majestic elk stroll by. I hope you're in good condition cause those hills can be tough. No ATV's, so if you get lucky you may need a deer cart to get a deer out depending on how far in you go. Good Luck!
