Hi everyone Just wondering if there is much public land in the Little Rock area, I’m from Wisconsin visiting my daughter ,son-in-law and my 2 precious granddaughters My son-in-law is a pilot with the Air-Force They live in Sherwood but are building a house in the Cabot area ,Been visiting them down here for a few yrs and plan more visits in the future especially if I retire in a yr or two Thought maybe I could find a spot to hunt some time especially when I’m here in October ((girls birthday) and missing the start of good hunting in WI. Just curious what’s available Thanks Ridge Runner

There are several WMA's near Little Rock. If you would be willing to drive 45 min to an hr away during your visits you can access some of the better quality WMA's. Follow this link to help in your search....https://www.agfc.com/en/hunting/where-hunt/

You’re centrally located to some of the best public land Arkansas has to offer. A drive out hwy 10 to the Winona WMA will give you access to over 170,00 acres and over 100 food plots managed by the AGFC.
Head east and you’ll find many WMAs largely managed for duck hunting but offer great early season bow and gun hunting.
I would suggest visiting the Arkansas game and fish website for more information. Often times each wma has its own regulations and you will want to make sure you have crossed your t’s and dotted your i’s.
