I recall when we lost dad several years ago it was a very hard time, but.... we still had mom and everything was still okay. When we lost mom, it was a life changing experience--this orphan stuff is much different.

Jim, I lost my dad in July 2001. My mom had a massive heart attack at the time of his death. We had to bury him and take care of her. She could not attend his funeral. That was really tough. My mom was my best friend. Like most mom's she was always there for me. It is life changing. I appreciate all the prayers. That is what gets me through these tough times. You are right. Even though I have a great wife and daughter it is different not having your parents. However, this is how it is usually. Thanks to all you guys. Family is everything. This has been a tough year. I fully retired in Feb and had shoulder surgery and then my mom was diagnosed with cancer in April. I am hoping 2020 is better. God bless you guys and Merry Christmas.
