Yes, I was planning on hunting this evening but the rain kept me home. Maybe tomorrow depending on weather. How’s the deer slaughter down there?

In some areas I heard they've shot quite a few. Right where I hunt everybody I 've talked to are all waiting for big bucks so not much is getting shot. One friend shot a small buck last weekend and when he pulled it out both antlers came off in his hand.

Had a good afternoon, saw about 40 deer, hunting on a friends place where bucks are off limits. Saw 2 bucks carrying 1 horn and almost shot 1 that had already dropped both. Back in Iowa this afternoon, got until Jan 10th.
