Been remiss about updating this thread, but April was good, May not so much and June is off to a good start. April. 6 inches, May .5 and June .05 today. Hope we get an early start to the monsoon. Total YTD 15.4 inches, so off to a good start. Most of the seasonal creeks are still running. Stock tanks are mostly full.

I'm getting the feeling summer monsoons may be a thing of the past down here in this concrete jungle called the valley of the sun. Over last 15-20 years we seem to only get 2-3 storms a year that ever make it to my house in NW part of valley. So far this summer I have received about 5 minutes of spit.

Sure hope it comes down good for the rest of the state until about Aug. 20th.

Spent the weekend up on the Rim. Did get some storms, but nothing too intense. The is the second weekend since early July I’ve spent up there and both have been what I’d call a low grade monsoon. Just doesn’t feel like the full blown monsoons I usually encounter. This year is definitely under performing, at least were I’ve been. Looking at next week, hot temps and dry weather appear to win out again. Sure hope it ramps up in August.

Terry, What are your totals for the year so far? I noticed last July 2019 you had over 3.5 inches of rain for the month and August had over 2 inches. I hope August is better than July was but forecast is pretty dismal.

Knothead, as of 4 Aug. 17.43 inches. AZbugler is on top of the rim, I live right under the rim, maybe 15 miles form him as the crow flies. That tells you how streaky the storms have been.
