Diy hog hunting west of ft. Lauderdale

Hey fellas, can anyone give a little advice as to where a good hog population is just west of fort Lauderdale.?? I only have 2 day's, jan 3/ 4. Diy ,cant afford guide or ranch. Recurve bow, have a kayak too. Thx my southern brothern...

Only 2 places I know of is Spirit of the Wild and Hungryland, both are WMAs. Hunting license, management stamp and maybe an archery permit are needed. You’ll have to read each brochure. Rules and regulations differ for every WMA. Both have small game seasons in which you can hunt hogs. Best way is spot and stalk. It’s probably a hour drive from Lauderdale to both. Without getting onto private land there aren’t many options.
I’ve hunted Hungryland a lot in the past and it’s loaded with hogs. Very accessible by vehicle and you can walk pretty much the 12000+ acres. Definitely need water boot, preferably knee high. Lots of water. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have anymore questions, I’ll try to answer them, J
