Ok how many do you think will participate? They want the herd reduced, but I do not think many are buying into it. Just a guess

At least they are offering the herd control to the landowners and hunters, could be worse.

As I understand how the permits (DCP) work, you can get numerous tags under one DCP.
I've been talking to someone who explained that to me. If the DNR uses only the number of DCP's to determine/target the harvest, they might not be capturing the true harvest if they don't track the actual kill tags. It sounds like some strange things are happening within the DNR/NRC these days.

Deer doing well in Iron county, about 50 today. Saw 2 does this week, each had their 3 yearlings from last year. Deer are in good shape in my area so far

Perhaps the DNR has been right all along, Overall, deer are at or above objectives.
