If any if you are subscribers to Bear Hunting Magazine you've most likely already read the article, "Guard the Gate: 7 things you can do to protect bear hunting". Its focus is on bear hunting, but is applicable to any hunter who would like to see their grand children or great grand children hunt the way we do today.
The readers digest version is essentially that bear hunting is the gate through which the anti-hunting community will enter our community, it is the low hanging fruit. If bear hunting gets taken out your favorite species or method may be the next low hanging fruit. And even if you don't hunt bears I think the author makes some excellent points about how we portray ourselves as hunters in the modern world.

HFSC - that's a good read. I need to look into Sportsmans Alliance, sounds like a good group. The author laid out some great ideas as well. Thanks for posting that!
