Most bucks are still holding but I took a quick walk this weekend and found a nice shed 5 minutes in! You can’t beat that! 20 minutes later though I crawled through a bedding area I knew at least 1 good buck was using and cane up on a huge dead head. I’m glad I found it but I’d rather he made it. Judging by his teeth, he was at least 5.5 but I’m sending out the jaw to deerage.com with a few others to see for sure.

Picked up another on a short walk today. Kinda cool. It sat backwards on his head. Must have damaged it in velvet

Not shed hunting, putting up posted signs on the property I'm allowed to hunt on. Way up on a hillside on a little bench came across this antler. The deer don't winter on the property, usually leaving the hill to the valley below. Some times lucky is good enough.

Hi guys...... while driving our motorhome through west Texas hill country a couple of days ago, we saw three bucks still with antlers.
The first was a wide 8 pointer that ran across the highway about 80 yards in front of us. The second was a 4 pointer and the third........... I have no idea how big he was....... but he had the biggest rack of any live buck I've ever seen! Easily 200 plus inches! Still carrying in Texas as of March 4th.
Other than that...... no sheds found..... or looked for this year. We will be on the road until the end of April.

Found a nice set on sunday from a buck that showed up post season... I'm hoping he makes an appearance during the season this fall!!

Shed season is a wrap... grass is getting too tall I guess. Found 4 sheds on april 28th, 3 of which were glassed up through the binos in corn, and 2 of which could have ended up in tires of tractors/ implements.
