Good morning. Assuming I'm unsuccessful in the draw, I would consider buying a land owner tag. Can anyone give me advice on a person that offers bull elk tags unguided? Thank you.

A little off topic here but is it common in NM for someone to hunt a private ranch that has UW tags but that person didn't buy a tag from that ranch. Maybe they got lucky and drew a tag but looking for alternate spots.

You can hunt any ranch that is enrolled in the "unit wide" E-plus program, with a draw tag or UW LO tag, issued for that unit. You do not need written nor verbal permission from the LO. If you have a "ranch only" LO tag, you can hunt only the specified ranch, with 5 exceptions and you will need written permission to hunt those addl units.

5 units... In GMUs 4, 5A, 46, 55A, and 55B ranch-only hunters are allowed to hunt on other private lands within the GMU with written permission from the landowner.
Not 5 ranches.

Possibly antelope? I keep forgetting that there is more than elk in NM. To clarify my tag is elk.
