In central Oklahoma today chasing turkeys anyone else get out for the opener? Only 2 far off gobbles this morning but have a hen keeping me company. Going to hunt here tomorrow morning then head to Black Kettle for a few days.

Taking off Friday so leaving early for the lease and hunt the weekend. Good number of birds so hopefully will bag one. Missed a nice tom with my bow during archery deer season. Think I'll use my Dad's LC Smith side by side(12 ga not a UTV/ATV)! His health isnt the best and would be happy if I took one with it.

Man, I wish the north eastern part of the state had birds like the central and western part does.

I was thrilled to take my first Rio Grande Turkey this past spring season. I hunted up at Lake Warika. Camped out for a couple days, very enjoyable, just wished my wife could have come along.
