I would imagine from the lack of talk about it and no mention in the newsletter ,that the camp out is cancelled this year?
It kinda slipped my mined. I think it was set for the last weekend in july. Where is our social director Snake bite??
LOL! Sorry, I missed this.................As far as I know, the BOD were planning to have it as long as Lycoming Co. was in the GREEN phase. Which it is. I can e-mail the BOD for clarification.
Just got word from the President.......................it’s ON! ;-)
I am planning on it. Hopefully nuthing come up.
Hope to see you there Ed!
Well I'm up in the air now. Mainly because of C19 and heres why. 2 of my friends have come down with c19 in the last week. And they were taking procautions and still got it. One's just showing postive and other ended up in the hospital with a high fever and such. Thier out now after a day or 2. Now I have not seen them in 6 or 7 weeks and then we sayed apart.
So what's everyones thoughts ? I really want to go, as I have not done a thing this summer and need to get out. Besides I missed last year and really miss you guys. :( Perry I think I need a hug!! :(
Sorry to hear about your friends, but If you haven’t been around them in 14 days you should be fine.
I should be there by Thursday afternoon. I gotta leave for a bit on Friday afternoon to pick up my daughter and bring her back to the campout. Should be back by the evening.
As far as hugs go, I’ll give you a “virtual” one Ed! ;-)
Ok I'm 98 % sure I'm coming. So I have 2 year old elk hamburger, it has some freeze burn, that can be cut off. I ate some a few weeks ago. I just cut off the burnt part. If anyone wants any. Let me know and I'll bring some.
Also I have bear meat all kinds of cuts, from last fall. Some sausage. Again I can bring some if anyone wants any. Bear meat is vacuum packed.
Its just me and Julie and in a bad year I get 150, maybe 200 pounds of wild game meat and in a good year 400. We can only eat so much.
Sounds great Ed! I would definitely take some elk burger and bear sausage! As much as you would be willing to "donate." ;-) I was planning to make some bacon burger bombs for Sat. night's feast with venison, but ELK sounds even better. Thanks for the offer!
Amy and I are planning to come, but we will be socially distant, and will pass on the Sat night pot luck this year.
That's one thing I really miss going to the campouts. Amy's crab soup!
It's hard to believe it's been 20 years since we had the first campout at Muldoon's. Many good times and memories.
Yea, Ned's venison cheese steaks! They were awesome too.
Glad Roy doesn't bring his cherry wine anymore.
Waiting for some pictures.
The annual drying of the gear yesterday when I got home. ;-)
Pretty good crowd considering everything going on right now!
Hard to see from this angle, but Bowjo was high bidder on Brock’s custom built hatchet. Was a beautiful piece!
I have always thought about camping up there.
funny Art, we missed you guys
You gonna sell your trailer Art? ;-)
Hey Buck, Were your ears buzzing? We were talking about you and your tent up on Mudbat hill..................all those years ago! ;-)
Bowjo made venison cheesesteaks Friday so that brought back some memories too! : )
Perry, There were flames shooting out of my ears and I couldn't figure out why. Now I know. I was wondering who got the Wood booby prize. I have the distinct honor of being the number 1 name on it and then made it again a second time. What a claim to fame. Hope everyone had a great time.
LMBO! : )
Yep- I’ve been trying to win that thing for years! And you already won it twice! Dan Zerbe won it this year.
Everybody I talked to had a great time! I think everybody just needed to see each other and get back to some sense of “normalcy!” ;-)
I think Dan might have been a second time participant of the wood award, not sure. It's an honor to have your name on that piece of wood. Why, I don't know.
Kathy got it once. Are they on a third board? That was Dan's first.
Yes- 3rd board was added this year.
It’s the “mystique” of winning THE WOOD, Buck! : )
It's all about the tradition Perry. You guys should start a board at the 5-C
