You don't have to apply this year. Just buy a permit in late August. Easier to cancel the hunt apparently this way due to C19. Hunt dates are Oct 15-16 and Oct 31-Nov 1.

12yards, going to give it another shot since I got a new knee, just would like a pre-scouting a day before so I would know where the heck I am going, road signs would help with the map, it is a different experience.

I'd recommend downloading OnxHunt onto your cell phone. It shows you all the trails in camp Ripley and provides a very good aerial view of the land. I can see a whole bunch of good spots just looking at the map.
