Forest Closures Again

Was in Phoenix today and heard on the radio that Kaibab and maybe Coconino were closing due to lack of rain. In traffic so did not get the whole report, went out to the Forest Service website but no info there, anyone have the particulars.

Terry: I think the forests are open but with red flag warnings/ no camp fires or smoking, or woodcutting after 9:00 AM type stuff.

Kaibab and Coconino are back to Stage 1 fire restrictions. Rarely do they go back to restrictions this late into the monsoon season, but it shows how pathetic Monsoon 2020 has been.
