Does anyone on here hunt in the eastern part of WMU 6K? I want to look at some state forest there (Penn Mountain). I live and hunt on the western edge of 6K. It's been pretty lean here the past few years.

Hunted Penn Mtn. about 10 years ago. Nice mix of hardwoods and evergreens. Saw a few deer. There is quite a few parcels of state land in that part of Oneida County.

Just a little past Penn Mtn, I hunted Jackson Hill outside of Boonville for quite a few years when I lived there. Other than opening day of muzzeloader and rifle, not a lot of pressure. First snowfall might bring some road hunters out....
