Just kidding nice bear and nice job to all the successful hunters
Got my first archery elk after 3 years of trying. Geat opportunity and super thankful. Not the biggest one out there but still some really good eating. Now on to my deer tag!
I remember when you came on here Daniel full of piss and vinegar...Good on YOU and Congrats!
Thank you jordanathome! Good luck to you!
12 year old Gage Hansen had an amazing big game season by taking TWO animals on the first evening of his FIRST big game hunt! While hunting over a water hole in Moffat County a muley doe came in at 5:30. Gage made a perfect heart/lung shot at 20 yards and we watched her go down. With a second tag in hand we waited for another opportunity and at 7 o'clock a doe pronghorn came in to drink at the same exact spot. Gage made another perfect shot and we watched her go down as well. A very proud and speechless father. Truly blessed!
I have heard some cool first kill stories but two kills and two different species might take the cake! Any chance that would be a junior junior Dennis Hansen?
Congrats Gage that is awesome!
JohnMC.... Yes, Gage is Dennis's grandson. Papa Dennis was in hunting camp too!
Congratulations Gage! and well done dad!
That is what I figured. You all have a awesome dad and granddad! Lets hope Dennis does not read that it will give him a big head!
Matt that is awesome! Tell him congrats from the Wards.
Matt, one of the coolest pics I've seen on Bowsite. Congrats to the Hansen crew!!!
I have a feeling this isnt the last hunting pic of ol Gage, what a slayer
Great picture!
Way to go Gage! Congratulations!
Gettin’ er dome! Filling the freezer:-)
Congratulations to Mom and Dad as well for providing the inspiration!
Super! I am very happy for you and your Dad and Grandpa. This picture has me smiling from ear to ear.
Great job Gage! What a fantastic first hunt for you to always remember. You are carrying on a great family tradition started by your Grandpa Dennis and your dad and uncle Mike. Your sister Brook carries it on as well. I am proud of you and the Hansen clan!
Not to be out done by her little brother, Brooke Hansen scored on a nice muley doe. Thank you all for the kind words.
Congrats to the Hansen kids! Looks like they are well on their way to a lifetime of filling tags!
Nice HCB Clerko! Congrats
Great stuff all! I'm dealing with a shoulder injury so probably not going to get my bow out this fall, fun to see other people's pics though!
Late season pronghorn success! Maybe my first booner!

Nice bull Tinman. If it’s from where I think you hunt even better. Congrats!

Awesome, congratulations Paul
Moose tag filled. Absolutely not the biggest but fun filled week with my dad. Having him there to share the experience made the whole trip!
Looks like you eat moose now. Congrats on an archery moose!
Not my bull but my brother was able to put his tag on this brute. 296lbs checked at the processor. Colorado-OTC-Public land.
Finally got the elk monkey off my back
Punched another elk tag in Wyoming last week.
Took 6 days for my this guy to finally relax from all the Muzzleloader Pressure and come back out to his drainage.
Beautiful bull, congrats!
Same goat.
Same goat.
Archery Nanny hunt. 2nd season. Had a great week hunting, including helping a friend who had an either sex tag and arrowed a great billy. This nanny was in a group of three nannies with no kids running around, so made it much easier to be sure she was dry. For those who like numbers, 5 yrs old, 4 4/8” bases and 8.5 inch length.
This one was only 1.5 miles up the mountain from where could get a truck, so not too bad of a pack out as mountain goats go. Enjoyed getting to know some of the other tag holders in my unit along the way as wel.
“Just” need a whitetail and mountain lion to reach Big 8 & Big 9 at this point.
Congrats Kirby! Very nice. Would love to do that.
Congrats Kirby. Cindy is also down to two species for Big 8 and 9 - bear and cougar.
Public Land Nebraska Nov 12th. My best public land buck to date.
Great looking deer! Congrats
My first recurve buck. More exciting than anything else I have killed with a compound or rifle (which isn't much.)
Way to go! I started messing with a recurve last winter. May have to get to the point of trying it before I get old!
Love seeing all the successes!
Congratulations to all the successful Colorado bowhunters!
Hat’s off to you PECO for a great first! Looking forward to many more in the future!
Congrats to all on 2020 hunts. Kirby, great goat hunt and I enjoyed exchanging info with you before and during the hunt. Also kudos to CONATIVE and SAWDUST on their goat hunts and helping with mine. I feel like I know you guys, even though we have never met. Oh yeah, I managed to arrow this guy on my goat hunt.
Nock - start a new thread and tell us the story!!
Finally a good end to the 2020 hunting season and some great venison for the freezer! 3 1/2yr old 4x4 Co. whitetail 11/21/20. Congrats to all the successful hunters!!

I was able to fill my plains archery tag on Monday, 11/30. Had a little help from the Be The Decoy Doe hat. My first birthday buck!
Second chance Kansas buck--my first arrow from the tree stand at a mere 10 yards deflected off an unseen branch and stuck in the ground at the bucks hooves! Amazingly, after a short 40 yard sprint, the buck stopped to look back for his unseen foe, and my second arrow was perfect thank the Lord! Found the buck had an arrow shaft broken off right between his eyes-- maybe shot a couple weeks previous by another bowhunter--unknown if intentional or not! Once i had boiled the skull for a European mount, the broadhead was clearly visible and had penetrated the eye socket and had lodged in the skull bone, just inches from the inner ear and brain. Could not believe this buck was alive, let alone running around pursuing does!
Sorry about the sideways pics! Don't know what I am doing wrong! Here is the buck's skull with the broadhead and arrow shaft embedded inside!
That is so cool, Kris!
Congratulations on a very unique trophy buck!
Congratulations to all the guys still out there getting it done!
Good luck to everyone still getting after ‘em!
That is cool. What broadhead is that?
Maybe G5 Striker? Hard to tell but held up amazingly well--all three blades still intact! Right between the eyes but at a slight angle or I am sure it would have killed him.
