Not much happening. Looks like I'm the only one going to hunt this year?

Some nice looking bucks Pat. How does this compare to what you would normally get on your other properties?
Now that we are getting some cooler temps, looks for the big boys to be out and about more.

Caught this fella last year down in Hardin County. We’re pretty close with the neighbors and no one seemed to bag him last fall so we suspect he is still haunting the area

Craig, I know, huh. He's a haus. Here's a couple more pics of him. I had posted these pics on the general Bowsite thread last fall and guys were guessing he'd score between ~160 & ~170. I was calling him "Splits" given his double split brow tines. I never did get a picture of him hard horned and I haven't seen any other pics of him pop up from neighbors. This pic was taken in small sliver of woods where we has walking a fence row. Like most of Ohio the landscape in this area is a checkerboard of small wood lots and ag fields, but there is a large swath (~900 acres) of private CRP 2 miles to the southeast of this location...if I had to venture a guess, I bet he goes for a summer cruise each year in July/August and then returns to that area ahead of the hunting season where he ruts and winters. I'd love to lay eyes on him in person.

Hope you cross paths.....I have been after this one for a couple years (date is wrong). He has continually outsmarted me. Maybe this is the year!

Same to you! Gotta figure they inevitably will move during the daylight at some point. As Barry Wensel has said, somewhere there is a tree he goes by more than any other, we got to find it and hunt it selectively when the deck is stacked the most in our favor. Good luck.
