Bought the 2.50 tag for artificial lights, don't know how much I will use it. Does anyone have any experience with thermal scopes or binos that don't break the bank?

I bought an ATN 4K... less than $700. I’d say 150 yards you could easily identify a coyote from a dog.

Shot one in the afternoon today. I'm definitely looking into buying a night scope. Thermal looks the way to go, but they are over $4k

I’ve done it for years in Texas no thermal or night vision just a red light

Talked to a friend that is a 40 plus year very experienced coyote caller. He calls a lot at night in Colorado. He night called some in west central Ks last week. He saw and heard several other hunters that were “educating” coyotes. He never heard or saw a single coyote.

For all these folks getting into night hunting, Dale06 is probably right that they are educating the coyotes. Probably be a lot of night vision / thermal for sale later this spring.

Night hunting? With rifles, from a vehicle most of the time I'm would guess. Why? It makes no sense at all to me.
