We all see the ad for the QUIETKAT here on the Bowsite. Yesterday I stopped at Cabelas in Green Bay and they had one there. The price tag they had on it was $4,700.

I have a fat-tire bike that I’m considering installing a Bufang mid-drive motor on for A LOT less money and the specs for speed and power are impressive.

I'll spend the $4,700 on a new bow set up for myself and all my kids and walk the mile. That's pretty pricy.

Ran into a 2nd E-bike last week 2 miles from the road. A younger guy , he said I should get one because its much easier than walking .

I told him 5 of my hunting partners told me that in the 80's when they were buying ATV,S for hunting , fishing , visiting neighbors, & going out west.

We would all be 75 now except 3 are dead & 1 can't walk to his mailbox . I checked my FITBIT & it said from Sept 1st till now I have walked 553 miles & I can't decide if I should do a Deer hunt in ID or an Elk hunt in CO this Sept .

He said with a smile. " You sound like my Dad " & zipped off .

Well that treestand sure is interesting. Takes the chance of falling to a dramatically lower number so your not crawling in or out 20 feet up. But how do you get the rails up that tree is my question?

From: Dirtman

How do get that stand up? Simple you have kids that will put up for you! I would do do it in heart beat for any one my hunting group to keep them going! It would ease my mind knowing they had a safe “climb” into and out of the stand!

Just purchased a Fat Tire e-bike RadRover 5..... it's about as close as I am going to get ($2086) for a hunting bike like those expensive ($5000-$6000) ones.

You dont need to break the bank, my Rambo was less than 2000.00 and works great. I have used it a LOT.

I have a Rambo Bushwacker. I would highly recommend people Googling or searching YouTube 'Johnny Nerd Out' and watching some of his videos. He also has a site and converts bikes into E-bikes. I actually sent him a message about internal gear hubs, expecting a response via email in a couple days, and he responded via chat within minutes, which I hadn't even opened.

Problem is, these Hunting Ebike companies are not manufacturers, they are wholesalers, who get their bikes from China and sell through dealers. You have a problem with one, they don't have a service center, no parts, and it can be tricky finding a bicycle repair shop that will work on them. They're not like buying a car, ATV or even a regular bike.

I'm still glad I got one though. Fun as all hell zipping across a field at 12-14mph, instead of walking to my cams. Trailer was great for carrying my blind, decoys and chairs for turkey hunting.

From: MjF
18-Jun-21
Knife2sharp the Rambo company is only a few minutes from where I live. I canceled my order for the RadRover 5 and have decided to go with a Aventon Adventure, my decision is based after more research and there is a bike company down here that sells and services them.

Thanks for reviews. I have a herniated disc in back, and have looking into getting one. I can golf 18 holes and feel fine, but sitting in seat on the ride home kills me. Same when I walk in hunting I’m fine till sitting in stand.

Update, I decided to get a Krusader, an AWD, by Rambo, through a dealer within an hour of my house who can service these when bought through him. I believe he'll be at Bowfest as well. I was originally thinking of getting the Krusader this spring, and made the switch to Bushwacker after I ordered. When I visited E-Bike Pros on my way up North for the 4th of July weekend, I test drove his wife's Krusader and new I wanted that one. I can feel the extra torque and power, over my mid-drive E-bike. Last weekend I made several trips to a faux pond, carrying 5 gallon buckets of water on my back with a ruck sack, and there's a gradual incline in one direction and the bike didn't lag at all on it. Also, I noticed there is variable power, so I can give it partial or half throttle to go slower and not having to lower the power level. The mid-drive is all or nothing and doesn't kick in until the throttle is fully engaged. Battery life suffers a bit more by having two hub motors, but for my needs it's fine, because I primarily use it for multiple short trips.

Thanks for the update. I won $3600 in March, and wanted to spoil myself a bit, and an E-bike was really all I could come up with, but I've yet to pull the trigger on it. I'm still one of those guys who thinks being kind to yourself is wasteful, yet I have over $7500 set aside from my poker winnings. Still undecided on brand, but I appreciate the feedback for sure. I was seriously only considering scent control, and felt by wheeling in to my mowed trails, I'd leave the least ground scent. I've rode a mountain bike in before, but an E-bike would allow me to leave from my home, and be in my stand in a few minutes versus driving there, and walking in and leaving scent behind.

I take my mountain bike into some of my stands in the forest areas that have blocked trails. It's pretty slick, one of those would be slicker yet. I'm also bad at spending money. Now, if I could make one out of my mountain bike I would.

Of course! Have a Monday through Thursday game for 10 weeks, build points, win money nightly, and also play the 11 week final table for bigger money, plus we have a monthly rebuy tournament that is solid winnings if you place 3rd through 1st, and of course our cash game that's ridiculously loaded with stupid people who don't respect money. I can positively say I'm only there, because the money is almost guaranteed if you're patient enough, and willing to take some bad beats that will cost you hundreds of dollars? The host of each nightly game is different, but the venue the same (VFW). Each nightly game has about the same sort of payout, but Monday and Thursday host about 60 players with a 20 dollar buy in. Some money is set aside for the 11th week tournament of champions, but ultimately the real money is in the after-tournament cash game.

The cash game also incorporates a high/low Omaha game that seems to fit my math-set. I'm not revealing to the other players my secret, but I only play the low, and I know when to fold. Bad beats are inevitable, but I can expect to win, before I even get there, which of course, is not always the case when dealing with infinite mathematics and donkeys who will insta-call to the river hoping to hit a 4-outer! I'm not the big spender that some folks are. I limit my loss to perhaps a 200 to 300 dollar number depending on the donkeys at the table, because it only takes one hand to be in the red again. I've won as much as 1600 on a single hand holding quad aces versus quad kings in Omaha, and I've lost some nut-flops to a gut-shot flush draw. All in all, they're the fools, and I know I'm in for anything, which makes it fun.

For you guys and gals out there buying an E-bike and do not want to spend $300-$500 on one of those expensive bike carriers, I bought a Motorcycle Carrier "Haul Master" from Harbor Freight for $120 and converted it over to haul my hunting e-bike. Because these e-bikes weigh much heavier than a regular bike you will need to upgrade on a heavy-duty carrier and this one is rated for 400lbs. It took me only 2 hours to convert this carrier over to fit my e-bike, works perfect.

I use a Maxxhaul carrier, rated for 90#, with Swagman fat tire wheel holders. The bracket is rubber, but I put a piece of foam over it and it holds my bike in place with no straps. I can remove/insert the vertical post with just a pin. No straps required.

From: MjF

Be careful with those, check often, driving vibrations end up giving stress fractures in the metal especially rated only for 90lbs

They are very powerful I have a 750W class 2 which makes it legal for many public area’s in Wisconsin. When you start to get into the 1000W and higher you cannot use on trails or are limited use on National Forests etc, of coarse private you can do what you want and County lands have there own set of rules. I’ve gone up surprisingly some steep hills but it does use the juice, I’ve gone 45 mile (not all in one time) on hard surface on one charge.

I always dreamed of having one of these bikes, but I couldn't afford it. I tried to save up for a bike like that, but I couldn't do it. I looked at different options and concluded that I could earn money for it at the casino. I had been playing poker with my friends since I was a kid, so I was good at it. My friends talked me out of the idea, but my desire to get this bike never left me. I went to https://1win-azerbaycan.com/ to try my luck, and in a few hours, I quadrupled my starting capital. Dreams come true!!!

NEVER! They are not traditional!

I am just kidding. They are great, especially for those of us that are Silvertips. I can't afford to buy one but it would be nice. In the past, before injuries changed things, I rode both road bikes and Mountain bikes a lot. I still ride just not as much. E-bikes are great for our use in bowhunting/scouting. A bit of exercise and saves on gas. If you are like me you could use the mountain bike or look into a fat bike. Both have fatter tires than a mountain bike.

I prefer the 20" Rad Mini foldable fat tire. On more rugged trails easier to "crawl" or place feet on ground, not so far to fall and lower so easier to maneuver hanging limbs etc. Had a 26" and sold it.

Well, it came in the mail today, and after a couple hours if assembly, it's together. Bee Cool is the brand, and $1600 as you see it. I'm a big fella and on flat ground, I had it at 24 mph, and had it at a whopping 32 downhill. Looks like 14 mph up a rather steep paved hill on pedal assist. It is a seven speed, and so far I love it. Test run coming this upcoming week when I move a couple cameras giving me too many false pictures. Thanks to those of you who talked me into it. Ruger, no doubt a tough living (or should I say slow death)?

Groundhunter, I walk plenty, and there's much to learn and health to gain by doing so. I'm seriously intending on going for the less scent approach. I figured zipping down a trail leaving less stink on the ground might make it nice to circle around the woods and hit a stand with very little impact. We will see? Test run next Wednesday to move a couple cameras. These things fly and don't make a noise.
