I have a bow hunt booked in WY Apr 22-25 and would like to try for a Rio in OK and KS on my way out west. Just retired, never hunted the Midwest....if someone would be kind enough to offer a suggestion on what public land to check out I’d appreciate it! God bless! John

Over 330,000 acres in the spring walk-in area program. You can access it at ksoutdoors.com. Most properties are too small to hot-spot.

Population is at a low here in many areas, and the KDWP has lowered the amount of tags. Most if not all birds in KS are hybrids, so if you really want a Rio then Southern OK and TX are the spots. Good luck bud!
