For those Colorado citizens that do not hunt and fish, but want to access SWA, the Commission just approved a SWA pass, cost approx, $46 which includes the cost of a Habitat Stamp. There will be some adjustments/considerations for elderly and low incomes. A very good move. Est users 6000.

I very much appreciated Commissioner Blecha's comments on the issue in response to certain groups who wished to use these lands for free while hunters and fishers paid.

Let the crying begin. Any word on plans of how to enforce?

Good news! I hears Betsy's comments too and sent her a thank you note. Thanks Paul.

Great move. The people who had a problem buying a hunting license for access got what they deserve.

I saw it enforced by volunteers at Mt Evans SWA last year. Good move.

What groups? Bird watchers? Stoner hippie hikers?

Horseback riders are huge at the big SWAs where I live. Like, big groups of 15-20, often during the week too. The horse people were big lobbyists toward dropping the "license" rule. So this is the alternative.
