Ya Jeb, usually just yell “Dad, Dad” several times. He usually shows up once he hears my chip bag open.
Serious note tho, last year I called two toms into him, 5’ from his chair. Walked away. I go over there he’s passed out. Coulda caught them with a net

This year my wife is going to hunt turkey with me. This is the first time she has ever gone hunting! I am so happy she going to do this. Once she gets a taste of turkey hunting, it's over. Elk, deer, birds; she will want it all. Will cost me a small fortune in gear but it will be worth it. Heck, we are retired. What else will there be to do with 27 million acres of public land at you beckon call (well, not until next year)? This will also be the last time I hunt in Massachusetts so this turkey season will be something special. Hopefully, I can call one into range for her.

Actually optimistic this yr. seen a few toms. Had a jake a couple days ago screamin at me close. Will take the bow ifin i have a partner to help me carry all the gear. If not gun and some burlap! Good luck to all!

Saw this turkey while scouting this morning unreal thought it was fake all loaded with white. Pic doesn’t do this guy justice. While scouting saw 2 deer and a bobcat crazy morning.

Will the cool part is if you zoom in on his head although kinda blurry it looked white with a very light blueish color. When I first saw it I thought it was fake.

Nothing in the woods. Get back to my truck in property owners driveway and had a tom and hen under the bird feeder, haha. I thought about......next time. Got very cold after sunup.

Glad you all had a good go of it, and some success to from the sound of it.
I rarely have much luck on windy cold front mornings... And given relatively tight time schedule, I decided to stay home and get the kids to school, send the wife for a pre work run in the woods with the dog, and go tomorrow.
Landowner in my one private land spot noted seeing 4 toms and some hens with some consistency, hopefully that pans out well :)
Regardless, it's always fun to be in the woods.

I got the 2nd vaccine shot saturday afternoon. hit me like a brick wall sunday around noon...was down for the count, so I preemptively called in sick to work and slept in this morning. woke up right as rain, but still didn't head out to the woods. one of those lingering things from childhood, can still hear my moms voice, 'if your too sick to go to school, your too sick to play hockey'....but mom?!?! lol
anyway...will be out there tomorrow.
