I have 2 turkey tags and I’m thinking planning a Memorial Day hunt in ny. I could hunt sat, sun, mon. 29-31. I really don’t want to drive 5 hours. Any recommendations for general areas? If I’m on my own I’d like big woods and high bird counts.

Look up state forests just into NY from MA pike. I travel to Albany quite frequently for work and always see turkeys down the Hudson Valley.

Spike that’s the plan. I stayed in a town called McDonough. There was forest everywhere. I’ll post some photos

I’m very proud I got this private permission. Maybe 300-500 acres hard to tell

Our Airbnb had about 400 huntable acres. 70% hay field. One section of woods connected through to state forest.
