This stand has been here for 8 yrs. This will b number 9. Every year it has produced bucks including a big ten in 2019. I'm standing at the 30yrd mark to the west.

Any trails coming out of/into the swamp, rubs or scrapes? What is the terrain like to the West?

Z9 to the west 60 yrds is an over grown retention pond with p stone bottom so water filters out quickly. I can see deer running back and forth from my position. I have main trails conning in from the north and another behind me running east and west. Am they go in front to the east pm they come from the east. I hunt it on a north west and enter from the south

Lunker, just curious, do you ever shoot a doe for the freezer off a stand like the one shown; or do you leave them alone to provide the buck lure ? I stay away from my rut stands so I'm never tempted but it's sure nice to take some early venison.

I would say no does early. For so many reasons. If I did it would have to b perfect. No track. Even in Dec. If I don't see a lot of does I won't shoot any. Some spots I will others no does. And because of that (in my mind) this year I have does all over. That particular stand I haven't shot a doe in 3 years. And I have differant groups come by like clock work

You'll get lost in my woods. Leaf blowers and lawn mowers are disorientating

Very true. I wouldn’t know which way to go. Left, right. I’d be going in circles probably on the verge of a breakdown

Lunker, Nice looking woods in the pic.I'd love to have one set in woods like that. Not like my jungle scenes laced with bull brier and thick understory. I never see another hunter; they'd have to be crazy to wade in there. Seems as though I fit the profile, lol.
