Multiple fires. Extreme fire behavior. Extreme drought conditions. Wildland fire resources spread thin throughout the state. Other forests are now closing too.

Apache- Sitgreaves National Forest closed effective 6-24-21 also. Thank goodness! I think we’ve got about all the fire we can handle.

Tonto except for Roosevelt Lake the lower Salt River and the lakes along the Verde is closed to camping.

I just Googled a map of where there are fires burning right now. It does practically mirror the map above, so I guess that humorous version wasn't all that far off!

Where is the fire up near Flagstaff.... I just drove through there on I-40 and it was really smokey from Bellemont east over to just past Flagstaff. A good monsoon was hitting Seligman area an hour west.
