There seems to be some confusion this year, but I just confirmed it IS a week later this year!
Looks like I can't make it this year, we'll be in North Carolina that week
Sorry to hear that Mike! : (
We are planning on going.
80% sure we'll make it.
Also hoping to make the Pennsylvania bow festival in Forksville and the 5C hunt.
Why I'm at it, kill a 180 buck and a 22 black bear. :)
Don;t forget.................................a couple 5C doe too! ;-)
To be honest, I'll hunt. But killing a doe/deer is only about 10% of the fun. Just chillaxing with you all is the 90% fun part..
Is it time to start the 5C thread, MR Social Director?? Guys got to start thinking 5c hunt/tags. But with the new system, I think tags will be good to get well passed the 5C hunt.
I still think we should change the Camp-out name to UBP Summer Jamboree, A few other state org's have them and they call them a Jamboree.
That's true Ed, but don't forget.......................................we gotta keep the farmers happy! ;-)
Yes, time to start the 5C Hunt thread ............................
You remember THIS one Mike?! ;-)
Cool! Is it your first time for the Sumer Campout?
Nice! You’ll have fun! : )
maybe I can visit Friday, we're leaving for Ocracoke Saturday
That would be great Mike-hope we see you there!
Less than 2 weeks, still looking good for me to make it and roll in on Friday morning.
Who's a go?? Ed
I’ll be there- unfortunately that’s the last weekend of camp for my daughter .............she’s working at a Summer camp as a counselor this year.
That mean she wouldn't be there or you got leave early?
No, mom is picking her up from Camp and taking her home- she’s been at camp since first week in June.
So I won’t have to leave the Campout this year.
Kathy and I have been planning, checking gear, making little improvements to our camper, discussing menus for a couple weeks. I have Patrick Schild's new stickbow to deliver. We might even head to the local camp grounds a few days early.
Couple days and a wakeup................................................... ;-)
Brook and Cheryl Hersheiser are coming.
Hoping to see/ meet some of yinz there.
plans have changed, I will not be there
Sorry to hear that Bob!
Jeff- look for my tent and stop in to say “Hi!” We usually do a BIG campfire circle in the evenings..............
Art, I'll be there tomorrow at 9am, a few more targets need to be set and the signs need to be put out. I will hang around for a while and see who shows up, then I'll be back Friday.
I’ll be there around noon tomorrow.
Rut Did Jen win the wood this year?
No- Jen and Amy didn’t make it this year. A guy from the Buckskinners won it. I forget his name.
And NO STORMS this year Buck! (We reminisced with Ned about the annual collapsing of your tent! ;-)
You’ll have to make it back one of these years!
BIG thanks to Brock and his crew for all their hard work!
Was another great gathering!
We ate well again this year! (THANKS for the awesome clams Joe!)
Got to see Hawkeye before he left on vacation(he came up for the day on Friday) and I got to meet Hawkeye in Pa. and visit with him over the weekend. Also found out how he got his nickname! ;-)
It heated up pretty good yesterday so we cooled off in the creek
Fun and relaxing weekend.
I thought I saw a picture of Ned. Pat and I were trying to figure out if my tent blew down two or three years in a row. It seemed like every year I was buying new tent poles. Glad everyone had a good time. It's hard to believe it's been 21 years since the first one. Many great memories.
Buck, see private message.
Yes! Ned was there with his 40 y/o canvas tent! ;-)
I think it was 3 yrs in a row Buck! : )
We were trying to figure out how many years it’s been at the Sportsmen’s club. It’s either 10 years at Muldoon’s and 11 years at the club, or vice-versa.................
AWSOME time as always, and no shortage of food, or laughs around the fire!
Great to see everyone
Wanted to thank you all for the great camp out and hospitality. Was really nice to meet everyone. Take care.
