2021 UBP 5C Hunt

Hunt dates this year are Sept. 23-25 And we will again be based out of the Kutztown Campground. You can check in after noon on Wed. 9/22
*PLEASE note there is a new process for Antlerless Applications with ONLY 1 application per round- no exceptions for 5C, 5D and 2B! Once they go over the counter on Sept 13 you can apply for 3 more tags for a total of 6. Then you have to FILL one of the tags before getting another.

It's not supposed to make sense.. :) Like no one's posting, so I'm being stupid. What happened to all our Pa Bowsite posters we used to have? We go days sometimes with out a post. I'm kinda wondering if Facebook has anything to do with the decline in over all posters here on all of Bowsite??? I belong to a half dozen facebook hunting groups and all pretty much get multiple posts a day.
Ok I got to get my license this weekend and a bunch of them pink things, Nut loves so much. Nut, I'll get you a few extra.

Yeah, I suppose FB has a lot to do with it. I know in a few cases it was due to guys getting their posts pulled for allegedly breaking the rules. That has happened to me which is VERY frustrating when you take the time to make several long posts and they end up going —POOF!— Makes you reluctant to post....................
Yeah, get me all the PINKS you can get! I wanna have a big bonfire when the legislature passes the law to get rid of them! ;-)

Good to hear it Art! There should be 5C tags available well into the archery season now! Since you can only get 6 total at any given time, guys will not be buying 10,15, 20 tags to start and therefore there will be more available. Should be able to get them over the counter starting Sept 13
Is everyone hunting public land?
Rut, isn't it almost like a guided hunt for new folks?
I’d say semi-guided..............we give you a satellite map of properties with boundaries, roads, and where to park. When you talk to Dan Smoker our property manager, he will point out good stand or blind locations and likely deer movement. Most of these properties we have had access to and have hunted for years, so we know them pretty well.
Although the public land is always an option, we try to focus on the farms and private properties we have access to to help the landowners. We actually have more private properties than we have hunters every year.
I hope that’s a 5C application Bob! ;-)
Bob - That app is probably going to the dead letter file. You forgot to circle PA Resident. That should be one more 5C tag for me ;-)
Olink, I was awarded the tag yesterday. As long as the application is filled out properly, the check is in the proper amount and signed, the folks at the MontCo Treasures office don't get hung up on petty stuff like that.
I wonder how many will be denied because they wrote a check for $6.90 instead of the $6.97? IMO, that $.07 increase is going to trip up a lot of people.
Yep, just busting on you... And agreed on that 7 cents, what the heck is that all about? Just make it $7.00 and be done with it...
I wonder how many guys will try to get their 5C, 5D or 2B tags with their “regular” WMU tags in the next round?
I think a lot of folks don’t realize it’s only 1 application per round this year AND no exceptions for “special regs” units.....................
Should have a bunch of new folks this year again. Got another new inquiry today and have had several people Say they are bringing new people this year.
Definitely not gonna make it this year, however next year I need to plan a trip to the camp in September so I can go to the treasurer and buy a few 5c tags. Only got 2 in 3C this year. Can’t remember the last time we all only got 2 doe tags. They took away 16000 this year :/

Did the Family Campground suffer any damage?
No Bob- Dan stopped by the other day, and they got some high water, but nothing like last year.
I won't be attending this year. My archery club took a direct hit from a tornado and it's all hands on deck for many weeks to come.
2 weeks from today we will be setting up Camp Whack-a-doe!
Still waiting on son's schedule. Apparently this professor isn't too forthcoming with when tests are going to be.
Dang professors..................
Well, this time next week we will be setting up the Big Tents! Still over 11,000 5C tags left................
Dan our property manager has been making rounds at our farms the last couple weeks and as usual has picked up more property for 2022! Word seems to spread what we are doing for the land owners and HSH! ;-)
