Hello everyone. I was fortunate to draw a season choice moose tag in CO. Tag covers units 53, 54 and 63. I've hunted elk in 54 back in the day. I've done some research and phone calls and will put boots on the ground there this summer. Just thought I'd ask if anyone out there has any info/recommendations to add? This is a new unit for moose (only the 3rd year). There are 2 other tag holders out there. I'd like to get in there in Sept. with my bow, for sure. Thanks all.

Scouted the areas I researched. Beautiful country. Located an outfitter camp and contacted them for info as well. Briefly saw two bulls in the AM. Looks promising, so I think I'll keep the Moose tag (this year I drew a CO Sheep tag and a premium WYO elk tag too).

Hey guys. Sorry about the delay. I responded to the PMs sent. Thank you! I drew an S7 Ram tag, along the Arkansas River W of Canon City. Grew up there. Also drew a WYO unit 32 bull elk tag (across the border from CO unit 201). Tried to return it, but just got a letter back from WGF saying negative to that. So, going there in late October after all the Moose and Sheep meat is in the freezer (if I'm lucky, right). Brother and some of his friends were up near CB this weekend. Really rainy but located a couple good bulls way up high. We'll keep after it. Probably go up there two more times myself before season.

Yep, those look like some good bulls! Good luck on the great tags you've pulled this year.

Getting close to opening day (Sep 11). Potential is looking good. Good luck to all the other moose hunters out there in Bowsite-land.

On 7th day of hunting, things finally came together. Tougher hunt than I expected. Great time spent with my brothers and my wife was even there for the final weekend.

Appreciate it, everyone. Funny how things seem to work out sometimes. This bull was one of those examples. Crazy to believe, but my focus is now on a Ram on Oct 1.
