New to the forum and bowhunting. I'm looking to hunt OTC archery deer in 17B in January. Has anyone had any luck or have any sage wisdom to pass along?

Deer herd is way down from years past.

The deer are down but there are still great mature bucks there. Obviously, stay w/in a 1/4 mile of any water holes. Advice? We have never seen a lone buck there. So, be sure to look for everything and be patient, use ur optics and likely you will find the largest or one you’re after NOT as the first spot!
