I am an experienced archery elk hunter who does everything DIY in the backcountry. I plan on hunting September 7th - September 17th near Fraser, CO. I will provide almost all of the equipment and an amazing experience. There is so much land to cover and I have been hunting alone for the past 5 years. This is a super tough hunt at 10,000 ft and requires you to be prepared physically. It would be great to make a new connection. Let's talk. The tag is about $700 for an out of state, over the counter, either sex archery tag. Todd

Todd, how successful have you been with archery elk in the Fraser area?

I have historically filled 20% of my tags. For me the big advantage is that I have only seen 3 other hunters in 10 years! Going up to check my game cams tomorrow.

This is a once in a lifetime offer he is offering. Wish I could take him up on it. Hope someone does and they are compatable.

Sooooo.....what happened? Did anyone hunt with you? Did you kill elk?

I did not harvest an elk. I had a mule deer buck at 8 yds and a cow moose at 14 yds. Continued to spot elk on game cams but could never close the deal. I hunted 15 days and had a blast. Nobody joined me.

In the 15 days how many times were you in bow range of elk? Guessing you did not round up a partner? That is a shame...

If I was in bow range of an elk, I would have killed an elk. That being said, I was in location 1 while the elk was in location 2. Then I was in location 3 and elk where in location 1. I had trail cam proof that I kept missing them! That happened 4 times during the 15 days. I had 4 deer in bow range and 1 moose in. Ow range but no license.
