Elk Unit 66

Put in a lot of mile this weekend above timberline and glassing down into drainages, but struck out pretty hard. Lots of moose, and muleys, but no elk. Does anyone have any experience in unit 66?

Me and my buddy tagged out on a 5x5 and 4x5 the first 3 days. Got into a ton of bulls but they weren't talking very much. We were hunting pretty low(for September) elevation wise.

I put in some miles up high and there was nothing, but there were sheep in the area I was, so maybe that's why?
