He is pretty deceiving. He had over 23” of extras. Over 50” of mass. 20” royal and a 19” 5th.

I see it. All his tines length are nice, but his fifths are crazy long. The extra on his left side add an extra 30+ inches.

The hunter won the tag through an SCI raffle! I will grab some more pics and post later! I have pics and video in velvet that will show a little better.

If that bull had been taken with archery he would have been one of the most difficult trophies to get in Colorado as a non-typical elk.

Fantastic bull, but seems like he might have at least smiled instead of the "tough guy" scowl....

Thats a big one. That guy has lifetime supply of knife handle material...well maybe not a lifetime if he turns one side into a lamp.

I Took this pic a few weeks before season opened. Tried to post some additional Angles on him.
He was definitely taken in unit 2 as I was there for the pack out.

I, for one, appreciate the cleaned up pics and no long-arming it(not needed on this one).

Looks like that bull was destined to drop with the bulls-eye clearly marked in the boiler room in the velvet pic.... Regardless of where, when or how, that is a tremendous animal! Congrats!

The only thing average about him is width! Unit 2 has narrow bulls in my experience. But what a critter! I see 399 gross NT for sure. Maybe even net NT. Congratulations to all involved!

WOW!! Congrats on a huge bull! I would guess him 395+ gross NT. Unit 2 has been putting out some big bull elk and some great mulie buck as well.

I see 399 all day long. That said, knowing outfitters and taxidermists, that number is likely high, but still! That's a great bull and it looks 399 to me.
