Shot this doe Sunday morning. Four does came in to the apple trees at 7:30,this one gave me a 20 yard quartering away shot.I double lunged her and she ran into the fence bounced off and died right there!90 lb year and a half, no tracking, short drag, just right for this old hunter!

It's been a slow couple of weeks for me until today. Lots of action this morning finally. This guy came limping out and was able to get a long shot with the muzzleloader. Good luck guys and girls!

I can't believe this guy walked 20 yards in front of me tonight right at sunset. Ran a good 100 yards but could hear him crashing. Didn't know how big he was until I found him.

Thanks Dean! He's an 11 point He's got to be a good 180 dressed. I sat all day yesterday and didn't see one deer until sunset. Still can't believe it.

Hi all! Some great deer pics in this thread. I hunt RI and MA for deer. Did some e-scouting and spent this past Sunday all over Arcadia. Lot’s of sign. Lot’s of bird hunters. No deer. Any one have some tips about where to look this time of year? Should I be in the river bottoms/marshes or the oak ridges? Seems like there are people everywhere- hiking, biking, horse riding, etc.
I grew up hunting in NH, so this part of new england is still a bit new to me.

Slept late this morning, got in the stand about 8:30.At 9:30 this doe comes perfectly from upwind and gives me a 20 yard broadside shot.She only went 50 yards, nice morning!
