I just found out my 12 year old son was successful in the returned license draw. He drew a Black Hills Whitetail tag. I’ve been to the hills in summer so I’m somewhat familiar. Coming from WI and just getting the tag isn’t going to allow for any scouting. We looking for recommendations for a place to stay and any techniques or terrain to look for as starting points. I’m getting on X to help with find a place to start. I will probably bring my 11 year sold son as well and get him a mentored antlerless tag.
