Anyone else taken notice how deer use goldenrod?

The past few years it has become one of my favorite plants. Early season the deer especially bucks seem to use it for bedding but then later in the season all deer really seem to prefer it to feed in. Over the past few days I have seen them really switch to eating it. I have allowed goldenrod to really surround or even split up my plots. Years ago I would normally just mow it down!

I don’t know what it is about the goldenrod but the deer here seem to start hitting it pretty darn good towards the late season. Almost Think about letting it take over a whole plot and use it as a late Season hot spot.
