My federal wolf biologist buddy here in Mn told me today his counterpart in Colorado told him they have been monitoring a wolf pack of 7-8 roaming the area between Walden and Kremmling. All are black except one. He said it would be the ones with one radio collared in Wyoming that has been previously acknowledged and that had pups this year, so that brings them up to 7 or 8. Told him that lends credence to the scat I identified this Fall on a ranch where I guide. Only told him since I figured nobody else would get it or care. So there's an update. By the way, was an awesome Fall. Numerous large herds during rifle.

Not to go off on a tangent, but on the subject of collared animals, there have been lions collared in states north of Colorado turning up as far south as Durango.

We had a wolf come through the valley by our camp on a ranch basically across the road from you, a couple years ago. May have been more. Funny thing was that there were coyotes all over before that, but they totally cleared out after wolf presence.

We've found that wolves, when in numbers like we have in MN, don't really tolerate coyotes.

There was an article in the Denver Post just in the last week or two about the wolf pups near Walden but I can't seem to find it.

Wolf born in Oregon in 2019 was just killed in Southern Cal 935 miles away per tracking collar. One of the Yellowstone wolves was hit by a car on Vail Pass a number of years ago and another from Yellowstone was killed near four corners. Cant wait until we get a bunch more introduced shortly since there are none here, wtf...
