Well 2021 finished with a bang. Best monsoon ever according to the local radio station. Huge snow/rain event of 5.5 inches to end the year and total rainfal of 35.65 inches on my rain gauge. 20 inches is normal, so things are looking good for next year if we get the usual snow pack.

It has been 71 days without any rain. This afternoon it clouded up and sprinkled. No measurable rain, but the temperature dropped from 92 to 75 in 10 minutes. Maybe an early start to the monsoon. I hope.

It is still really green around here. I have not been able to get out as I spent most of the month in April in the Hospital and am still recovering from that ordeal. Have not seen many elk on my drives back and forth to the Doctors.

More rain during the night.......forecast rain everyday for the next 10. Apache-Sitgreaves lifting all fire restrictions tomorrow (6-24). That's pretty darn early, but a good testament to rainfall so far. .

The monsoon has pretty much been a bust up until today. .75 inches in about a half hour. Been watching the radar and it seems there are rains all around us but none of it drops here.

Doing ok, just not getting as much rain as you. Just got a new dog at the Humane society so have been a little busy. He is curious about deer, but does not seem inclined to chase, so I got lucky there.

I'm waiting for a dry out.......we are at 26.30" at my place. Water has no where else to go. Scott Reservoir was almost dry in June.....it's overflowed and the stream as gone on to fill Show Low Lake.......and now it's going over the spillway! Been a great monsoon season!

Well as the monsoon is officially over thought I would report. 26 inches for the year. So another good monsoon. Now if we can get some snow this winter. I am being optimistic and installing snow stoppers on my metal roof so I don't to shovel so much which means we will get only a dusting.

Thank you , lots of glassing to find a good buck , lots of disappointed hunters , the season was moved back and even with that cold and snow I think the bucks were staying in the timber . I was fortunate to have got this buck and this was my third tag I have drawn for 12A east side .
