Late Archery in the UP

Very good late season hunt, for those who participated. Pressure was very light, in my area, due to no xbows, so that shows you, how many use them..... Some of the best bucks were shot this year, in Iron County....... 2 slobs were killed late season......
I still think those over 65, should be able to participate, with their xbows, but the influence of UP whitetails, will not allow that......
For what it is worth,my friends dad, just ordered his new Matthews VX 3, he is 89, got to love that guy

Steve: I agree with you. 65 is an arbitrary number. If one wants to use a xbow, they should have a physical therapist sign off on it.

Been doing my own deer assessment.... They are in good shape.... DNR is on the right track, wanting to create more wintering areas,,,,,,, still a little rough north of 28

Old guys like me don't need crossbows. It they a legitimate health issue and have a written report from their doctor that would be fine.
