2022 Trailcam Pics

I am heading up the mountain on Thursday for scouting trip #1 of 2022. I spent some time today inventorying the trailcam system. I am bringing up 5 cams, 40 batteries, and 5 SD cards. The plan is to set up a "line" from South to North of a couple of miles. That way I can be efficient and run the same line each time. I will probably check the cards and change the batteries twice in July and twice in August. I will post pictures throughout. Can't wait to see others!

I got up 5 cameras this morning. I will go back up next Friday to check my cards. I saw a cow moose but couldn't get a picture so technically it didn't happen.

So…which has been your most productive location so far between Camera #1-#5? Seems that almost all your cameras are labeled Camera #1 except two cameras (Muddy Cam and HME Camera?).

Since your first 2 posts above provided set-up context of Camera #1-#5, I thought the pics provided would atleast tell us in some manner which camera or set-up they were coming from.

Of the pics provided so far it is pretty easy to identify pics from Camera #1 (with wallow) and Camera #4 (with stump)….identifying pics from other camera set-ups not so much.

The wallow cam seems to be very active which is surprising because there is water everywhere. The stump cam was more active last year but the bear might have something to do with that. I had about 700 pics total. Areas that were active last year are less active so far this year. Moose are on every camera.

I just got woken up by 2 moose outside my tent! I opened the door to look out and the cow was standing 30 feet away next to my supply table. Very unsettling way to start the day.

I went down to the truck to charge my phone this morning. When I got back to my tent, a cow and calf moose had moved into my campsite. Literally 5 feet from my tent with only a crappy boma separating them.

I also heard a real-live bugle!
